Account Settings (blogger & wordpress)

Using Blog Auto Machine, you have the choice of posting to Blogger.com, WordPress blogs or both. The first section covers posting to Blogger, the second section covers posting to WordPress.

Set your project's Account Settings for posting to Blogger.

1.Select your project, by clicking it's name, from the Loaded Projects window. Notice your project name turns blue.

2. Select the Blogger.com checkbox.
3. Enter your Blog ID (from blogger.com).
   a. Login to Blogger.com
   b. Click on the Blog Name link you wish to use Blog Auto Machine on.
   c. Select the numeric blogID value from your browser Address bar.

4. Copy the numeric value only, nothing else.
5. Paste this value int the Blog ID field on your Account Settings tab.
6. Enter your Blogger.com Username in the Username field.
7. Enter your Blogger.com Password in the Password field.
8. Enter your Blog URL.
   a. Login to Blogger.com
   b. Click on the Blog Name link you wish to use Blog Auto Machine on.
   c. Click the View Blog tab from the blogger control screen. This will launch your blog in a new browser window.
   d. Copy your blog's URL.

      http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/

9. Paste your blog URL in the Blog URL field on the Account Settings tab.
10. Click the Save Changes button on the middle right side of the Account settings tab.
11. You should get an Account Settings saved pop up window.

Your Account Settings Tab should resemble the following screen:

Set your project Account Settings for posting to WordPress. In order to use WordPress, you must install a WordPress blog on your existing domain. WordPress is ususally provided free of charge by your hosting company.

If you use cpanel for hosting, you can install WordPress by clickingthe Fantastico icon in cpanel and then selecting WordPress under blogs. You can also download WordPress for free from WordPress.org.


1. Select the WordPress checkbox.
2. Enter the admin username.
3. Enter the admin password.
4. Enter the blog url. This will typically be something like http://www.yourdomain.com/blog
5. Enter the numeric Category ID you wish to post to. (this is optional)
   a. Login to your WordPress blog.
   b. Select Manage from the top nav bar.
   c. Select Categories from under the Manage nav bar.

   d. Note the Numeric Category ID value.

6. Click the Save Changes button on the middle right side of the Account settings tab.

7. You should get an Account Settings saved pop up window.

Your Account Settings Tab should resemble the following screen:

You have finished the Account Settings options. You will next configure the Program Settings.
